I missed two questions out of 10. Admittedly, one of them was because I didn’t go over the notes for it, and the other was a god-awful mistake; I accidentally pressed the wrong one when I meant to push the other, and in a fueled anxiety panic, I pushed submit because time was running out.
Two minutes were left before the quiz was to be submitted on my behalf.
So here is what I learned.
Even if there are two minutes left on the clock, breathe, go over the answers once more. I had done so before, changing some answers that ended up being right, but I didn’t do a double-check again, which I should have.
Second, I wasn’t sure how the quiz was going to go and what was expected, which gave way to my anxiety, but now I do, which means I can now operate in a certain way knowing what kind of questions are most likely to be on a quiz.
I went straight to Reddit after feeling like I bombed a 10-question quiz.
Like, really? Who gets 2 questions wrong on a 10-question quiz, I kept nagging at myself.
Turns out many people bomb their first quiz due to uncertainty, anxiety, and taking time to adjust to understand the material and the study habits needed.
I like these three responses

AceP’s reponse is also what the logical voice within me was telling me but reading these reponses is what made it louder over the “Who misses 2 questions out of 10.”
As you can tell I am still learning to show myself grace.
With that said, getting the first one out of the way, I now know what I need to do, and it helps to know which questions I had gotten wrong.
Well, just one of them again was because I didn’t go over the notes. That one, fine, I don’t deserve that one, but missing the other one because of a brain-farting moment of accidentally clicking it, ah, it stings!
What is done is done.
Now it is time to bounce back and look forward to the new week ahead. Week one is down, and it held all the emotions most college students hold: fear, excitement, worry, confidence, doubt, and fatigue.
Time to shake off this week and get ready for the next one.
Also on brighter news I got a 100% on my first pyschology quiz, so there’s that!
