A couple of posts back I mentioned that the teen was going to have a Halloween party. I want to share that here as it was the first time I went all out and allowed him to put whatever he wanted into the cart to decorate our small one-bedroom apartment. This was the result.
The video ends at 30 seconds even though it runs for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. I couldn’t figure out how to trim the footage on the video editing app which means the music continues long after the video is over. I never had to use the video editing app on here until now as I wanted to add the ambiance of fun Halloween music.
As you can see from the video he didn’t hold back on the decorations he wanted for the party and it was a blast. We baked orange frosted Funfetti Halloween cupcakes, pigs in the blanket, and chili cream cheese dip along with my famous family wontons, which I mentioned on this blog before.
There was also soda, water, Halloween chocolate, sour gummies, and deviled eggs, it was a spooky feast and we were full by the end of the night. The movie of the night was The Purge: Election Year, which was fitting considering the upcoming election at the time. I wrote about my thoughts on the recent election, if you want to read them, click here.
I had homework assignments due that night still, so once it was over, I sat on the couch next to the teen while he played his video game, answering the discussion post that needed to get done before the midnight deadline.
This Halloween was a fun one and I really enjoyed it. It was a much-needed break from the day-to-day hustle of school assignments and gym which we try to go to at least 4-5x a week and then we do 2 days off for recovery so that we don’t burn out from it or the protein shakes that we consume right before. Anyway, I just wanted to update what we did for Halloween since I missed posting here for the entire month of October.
