Someone once said,
“When things get hard for me, I remind myself that they’re getting hard for other people too. The difference is, they’ll quit before I do.”
That hit me. Because it’s not just about grit, it’s about endurance.
It’s about understanding that in almost every field, especially in something like blogging, investing, or building anything from scratch, most people don’t lose because they weren’t talented.
They lost because they stopped showing up.
Most People Quit Before the Miracle
I’m 16 months into my finance blog.
Nearly 400 published posts. Hundreds of hours of writing, editing, reshaping.
And traffic? It’s just now starting to trickle in.
Most people would’ve quit by now.
Most people did.
But I kept going, not because it was easy, but because I understand the game.
Year 1: You’re crawling.
Year 2: You’re wobbling.
Year 3: You’re walking.
Year 5: You’re running.
Year 10: You’re unshakable.
A blog is like a child you’re raising. It doesn’t perform on command. It grows with time, attention, and care. Most people abort the mission before it even gets its footing.
But not me.
You Don’t Have to Be the Fastest. Just the One Who Stays.
That’s the mindset: I will outlast.
Let others burn out trying to sprint through something meant to be a marathon.
Let others quit at the first sign of struggle.
I’ll still be here:
- Writing.
- Building.
- Compounding.
- Evolving.
Because I know what I’m planting.
Final Thought
If you ever feel discouraged about slow growth, remember this:
In the silence where others quit, you’re becoming the one who finishes.
That’s what separates legacy from a phase.
That’s what makes your blog not just a hobby, but a long-term asset.
That’s what turns ideas into institutions.
So let the blog crawl, walk, fall, wobble, and then run.
You’re raising something timeless.
Just stay in the room long enough to see what it becomes.
